MoneyLupe ("we", "our", or "the app") is a banking statement analysis application that helps you import, categorize, and analyze your financial transactions. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection and Storage

What data does the app process?

MoneyLupe processes the following types of data from your imported bank statements:

• Bank account information (account name, bank name, IBAN, currency)
• Transaction details (dates, amounts, descriptions, counterparty names)
• Spending categories and merchant information
• User preferences (theme settings, custom categories)

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored exclusively on your device. MoneyLupe does not transmit, upload, or share any of your data to external servers, cloud services, or third parties. Your financial data never leaves your device.

Does the app collect analytics or tracking data?

No. MoneyLupe does not use any analytics services, tracking tools, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services. We do not collect any usage statistics or behavioral data.

Data Processing

All data processing happens locally on your device:

• File import: Bank statement files (PDF, CSV, Excel) are read and parsed entirely on your device.
• Categorization: Transaction categorization is performed locally using an offline merchant database bundled with the app.
• Export: When you export data (CSV or PDF), the files are created locally on your device. Sharing is initiated only by you through your device's share functionality.

Data Security

• All data is stored in a local database on your device.
• The app does not create backups to external cloud services.
• File access uses Android's secure content resolver and FileProvider mechanisms.
• The app requests no dangerous permissions.

Your Rights and Control

You have full control over your data:

• View: Access all your imported data at any time within the app.
• Export: Export your transactions and spending reports as CSV or PDF files.
• Delete: Remove individual accounts with all associated statements and transactions.
• Clear all data: Delete all app data at once through the settings menu.
• Uninstall: Removing the app from your device deletes all associated data permanently.

Children's Privacy

MoneyLupe is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children. The app is designed for adults managing their personal finances.

Third-Party Services

MoneyLupe does not integrate with any third-party services. The app does not contain:

• Advertisements
• Analytics or tracking tools
• Social media integrations
• Cloud storage connections
• In-app purchases that share data with third parties

Permissions

MoneyLupe uses minimal device permissions:

• File access: Only through the system file picker when you explicitly choose to import a file. The app cannot access files without your action.
